Save the Children, a global children's rights group said two people were killed in anti-government protests on Thursday. The death toll stood at 538 people.

The Southeast Asian nation is experiencing nightmares, the agency said on Thursday. One of the youngest seven-year-old children was killed in the shooting.

Earlier, Myanmar's ambassador to the United Nations, Christine Bergner, warned the Security Council that a "bloody civil war" could break out if the military did not act quickly.

Meanwhile, Suu Kyi's lawyer said on Thursday that the junta government had filed new charges against ousted Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi for violating government secrecy. The junta has ordered the country to suspend wireless broadband services until further notice.
