India lost 6 wickets for 146 runs in the first innings to respond to England's 205 runs. From there, they turned around in a pair of 113 runs by Rishab Pant and Sundar. Pant was out the day before after scoring a century, but on the third day, he made another pair of 96 runs with Patel. Patel returned with 43 runs.
