Biden made the announcement at an official press conference on Thursday for the first time since taking office in January. He said 200 million people would be vaccinated before the 100th day.
Earlier, he said that 100 million people would be vaccinated within his 100th working day. The US president also emphasized the importance of child immigration. But Biden blamed his predecessor, Donald Trump, for the growing humanitarian crisis on the southern border.
There are currently more than 17,000 children in government detention centers in the United States. Joe Biden promises to be transparent in all cases.
