The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a church, police said. A South Sulawesi police spokesman said police cordoned off the area shortly after the blast.

Meanwhile, police have not yet confirmed whether the body parts of people scattered at the scene after the blast were just those of the attacker. However, no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
