For the first time since US President Joe Biden took office, a US warship has crossed the Taiwan Strait. This military-sensitive approach separates Taiwan from mainland China.
The first U.S. warship crossed the Taiwan Strait during Biden's tenure
The US Seventh Fleet said in a statement on Thursday that it is USS John McCain-guided missile destroyer that had crossed the Taiwan Strait in accordance with international law. The U.S. military says a car bomb had exploded at the Iraqi police recruiting center at Kisak, west of Mosul.

Occasionally, U.S. military forces carry out warships on the Taiwan Strait. China has always reacted angrily.

China thinks that through this, the US government declares its position against the one-China policy. Most countries in the world consider Taiwan to be part of China.
