The incident took place in Rajouri, Jammu, and Kashmir on Wednesday (February 3rd). He was a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

A spokesman for the Indian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Devendra Anand, said the Pakistani army started firing without any provocation on Wednesday. At that moment, Laxman was seriously injured in their firing. He could not be saved in the end due to heavy bleeding.

About that army, he said, Lakshman was a brave, inspired, and dutiful soldier. The country will be forever grateful to him for his sacrifice and devotion.

Zee News reports that Pakistan has recently been seen repeatedly violating the ceasefire in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Their indiscriminate firing resulted in the deaths of soldiers as well as civilians in many cases.
