An investigation into Trump's attempt to change the election results began

Georgia's Secretary of State has launched an investigation into former US President Donald Trump.

Authorities say they will investigate any attempt to change the outcome of the election.

Earlier, in a January 2 phone call, Trump accused the state's chief election officer, Reference Pager, of changing the election results, alleging vote-rigging.

Lawyers say this is a conspiracy to rig the Trump election, He has committed at least three offenses, including inciting others to commit fraud and obstructing election officials.

Two members of Congress have also written to the FBI to investigate the phone call. Even on the day of the Capitol Hill attack, Trump made baseless allegations of fraud in a speech calling election officials dishonest.
