In addition to Iran's Jamaran and Naqdi destroyers, several warships took part in the exercise. Several naval units of Russia and India also took an active part in it. On the last day of the two-day exercise, the operation against the pirates was completed yesterday.

Rear Admiral Golam Reza Tahani, a spokesman for the exercise, said the two commercial ships captured by the pirates sent signals to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center in Chabahar port.

A Sikorsky SD-3D Sea King helicopter from the Iranian Navy then took off and saw the situation first hand.

The Zaman Destroyer, built with Iran's own technology, was then deployed to the area, and the exercise began by dividing the warships involved in the exercise into Iranian and Russian units.
