
1315 athletes from 31 countries participated in this year's competition. Meanwhile, the members of the Taekwondo team of Rajshahi University recorded their high speed kicks and paras and sent them to the website of the International Taekwondo Association on January 16.
The names of the winners of this competition were announced through online video analysis on January 26 and 27. Although the competition was not held physically due to Corona, the International Taekwondo Association analyzed the videos sent by the teams.
Expressing excitement, Kamruzzaman Chanchal, President of Rajshahi Taekwondo Association and Coach of Rajshahi University Taekwondo Team said, “Our team has been gaining reputation in the country and our university at the international level. Hundreds of university students are currently learning taekwondo at the university gymnasium and practicing regularly. Congratulations on behalf of our entire team to the two students who won gold medals this time.
Earlier, Rajshahi University won gold and silver medals in the 2016 International Taekwondo Competition held in Thailand. In 2018, only Rajshahi University got the silver medal.
