After officially leaving the European Union, the United Kingdom began a new era.
The post-Brexit trade agreement between the EU and the UK came into effect from 5 am on Friday, Bangladesh time. As a result, the United Kingdom will no longer be governed by EU law, but by its own laws on travel, immigration, trade, and security.
After the agreement went into effect, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said independence was now in their own hands. The British Prime Minister also remarked that now they can build their country better and more independently.
French President Emmanuel Macron has said that even if he leaves the EU, there will be friendship and alliances with the United Kingdom.
Although Brexit came into force on January 31 last year, the United Kingdom has so far complied with EU trade rules. The bill was approved by a vote of 521-73 in the House of Commons last Wednesday, and with the Queen's consent, the agreement became law in the United Kingdom.
