The new virus, identified in the UK, has been found in at least five US states. The death toll in the UK has risen to 1,041 since last April. More than a thousand people have died in Germany in 24 hours. More than 1,200 people died in Brazil and more than 1,100 in Mexico.

Meanwhile, Brazil's health minister has announced the start of the coronavirus vaccine in January. Israel is set to receive its first shipment of the modern vaccine on Thursday.
