Vaccination has started across West Bengal from January 16. Initially, 100 people are being vaccinated every day in each center. There are four vaccinators in one vaccination center. The state government has allocated Rs 100 per vaccinator for each day.
Minimum medical knowledge is required to get the vaccine in the right place. Manas Gupta, the editor of the West Bengal Association of Health Service Doctors, asked, ‘Is that knowledge worth a penny? Even beggars don't take a penny nowadays. Vaccinators are being insulted with this money. This is the situation where people start vaccinating by beating the drums! '
Each vaccinator has been allocated Tk 25 for face shield, mask, and sanitizer. Vaccinators are also worried about the money. Gloves do not match the money in the fair price drug stores in the state.
Dr. Manas Gumta said, ‘The price of isopropyl alcohol, the manufacturer of sanitizers, will not go up with that money. The health department seems to be telling you to fill the sanitizer bottle with water and use it. '
According to another source, the Corona vaccine was initially allocated at Rs 400 per 100 vaccinators. At least now it is 100 rupees.
In the first phase in the country, first-line workers such as doctors, health workers, and hospital cleaners will be vaccinated. In the next step, the police and in the third step, people in their fifties, and in the fourth step, the general public will be vaccinated.
