Detective police have arrested six people on charges of extortion as members of Dhaka's top terrorist Seven Star Group.

They were arrested on January 14 in the Jatrabari, Motijheel, Turag, and Paltan areas of the capital. Bilal Khan is the head of this extortionist ring. Various telephone directories, mobile phones, and SIM cards were recovered from them.

The ring was divided into three groups, a press conference was held at the DMP Media Center on Saturday morning. They were identified as the top terrorist Jisan's men. Police said the gang was arrested following a complaint by a Cox's Bazar businessman. There are already four cases against the six arrested.
