The agitating farmers' meeting with India's central government ministers on Tuesday did not address the issue.
They are scheduled to meet again next Thursday to resolve the issue. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Gayal, and State Minister for Industries Som Prakash met 35 leaders of the Krishak Union at Vigyan Bhaban in Delhi at 3.30 pm local time on Tuesday.
At the meeting, the farmers 'leaders said,' No committee but the new agricultural law should be repealed. Otherwise, their movement will continue. During the meeting, Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar said that it is not possible to repeal the Agriculture Act in any way. The agriculture minister suggested setting up a special committee to look into the issue. After that, the peasant leaders warned to continue the movement.
In the last few days, the states of Punjab and Haryana have been agitating for the repeal of the new agricultural law.
