Farmers in India are protesting against the repeal of the Agriculture Act. 18 parties have expressed support for the farmers.
Farmers have blocked roads and railways in different parts of the country since Tuesday morning. Especially in Delhi and Haryana, the movement has gained momentum.
The Delhi-Haryana junction at the Singhu border has been closed in protest. Auchi, Piau Moniari and Mangesh borders have also been closed. The bandh will continue till 3 pm, but the protesters are giving concessions in case of emergency services.
Meanwhile, the farmers' leaders will hold a meeting with the government on Wednesday in the 6th phase of the movement on agricultural law. The three-month-long peasant movement has gained momentum in several states over the past 12 days.
