At least 26 people have been killed in a boat sinking off Lake Albert in Uganda.
The boat sank in a lake on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo in a gale. Ashraf Oroma, a local official, told AFP that the boat had more than 50 passengers on board. They are all citizens of Uganda and Congo. The boat was moving from one area of Uganda to another.
Such accidents occur in the heart due to poor safety measures and inclement weather. Ashraf Oroma said there was no possibility of rescuing anyone alive.
