At least 26 people have been killed in a boat sinking off Lake Albert in Uganda.

The boat sank in a lake on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo in a gale. Ashraf Oroma, a local official, told AFP that the boat had more than 50 passengers on board. They are all citizens of Uganda and Congo. The boat was moving from one area of ​​Uganda to another.

Such accidents occur in the heart due to poor safety measures and inclement weather. Ashraf Oroma said there was no possibility of rescuing anyone alive.
