The miscreants attacked UNO Waheeda after breaking the ventilator of the bedroom by blocking the guard after entering the government house.

The miscreants broke the ventilator of the government house and broke into the guardhouse and entered the house. Local lawmakers say the attack was planned to assassinate UNO. The state minister for public administration said the investigation is going on with utmost importance. Law enforcement is working to identify the culprits by looking at the CCTV footage.

The miscreants locked the security guard at the official residence of UNO Wahida Khanam at Ghoraghat in Dinajpur around 3 pm on Wednesday. Then they broke the ventilator and entered the UNO bedroom and attacked.

While undergoing treatment, UNO's father Omar Ali said, "I went to the next room when I heard my daughter screaming." Then an assailant covering his face with a cloth hit me too. At one point in the scuffle with him, he hit me in the neck.

Shibli Sadiq, a local MP, said the UNO had been attacked with the intention of killing. "It simply came to our notice then that it was not a robbery or a burglary, but an assassination attempt," he said.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said the terrorist attack on Wahida Khanum was being investigated with utmost importance. An investigation is underway into whether the incident was due to robbery or hostility. A seven-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident. The miscreants will be arrested soon. Maximum measures have been taken for his treatment.
