One more goal at the last minute after leading by two goals in the first half. Manchester City has made a good start to the new season of the English Premier League by defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Pep Guardiola's side beat Wolverhampton 3-1 at home on Monday night. Gabriel Jesus nailed the last nail in the coffin of the great host in the very last minute of added time after Kevin de Bruyne and Finn Foden scored in the first half.

Wolverhampton made several attempts to get back into the match in the second half. Mexican forward Raul Himenes scored a goal for the team in the 7th minute. But the city did not reduce the gap.

Earlier, in the twentieth minute of the match, the visitors took the lead over Kevin de Bruyne's spot. The Belgian midfielder was fouled in the D-box when the referee blew the whistle for the penalty.

Phil Foden doubled the lead in the 32nd minute. The English midfielder got the ball from Rahim Sterling's pass and wrapped the ball in the net with a left-foot shot from the middle of the D-box. The city went to the break with a 2-0 lead.

Wolverhampton scored a goal in the 78th minute of the match. Himes sent the ball to the goal with a perfect header after getting the ball from the cross of his teammate Daniel Podens from the corner. The match was frozen. But at the end of the added time, when the Brazilian star Jesus scored with the help of De Bruyne, the citizens left the field with a big victory.

Man City's win means no matches have been drawn so far in the new season of the Premier League. And 44 goals have been scored in the first week matches of the league.
