Carolina and Georgia have been hit by heavy rainfall and flooding as a result of the tropical storm.

The Carolina National Weather Service has issued a massive flash flood warning. The meteorological department had earlier forecast heavy rainfall in Virginia and Carolina.

Hurricane Sally weakened to a tropical storm after hitting the south coast of the United States early Wednesday morning. One died. Roads and homes were flooded in the rain after Sally hit Florida and Alabama. There is one missing person in Alabama.

Authorities are investigating the damage caused by the storm on the south coast. Five and a half lakh people lost power after the storm.
