After being closed for eight days on the Shimulia-Kanthalbari waterway, limited ferry services have resumed.

Due to the naval crisis and the current, the ferry service was disrupted for several months. Occasionally a few ferries were passing by. On September 3, the ferry service was completely stopped.

BIWTC official Shafiqul said ferries from Shimulia Ghat to Camellia, Kakli, and Roro ferries left for Birshreshtha Jahangir Kanthalbari Ghat this afternoon. This has brought relief to the passengers and drivers in the ghat area.
