WeChat and TickTock will be banned from the US App Store from Sunday to ensure national security.
The country's trade secretary, Wilbur Ross, confirmed the matter to Fox Business News on Friday.
The Chinese app TickTock will be completely shut down in the United States by November 12 unless it reaches an agreement with President Trump. Earlier, in August, US President Donald Trump accused Americans of stealing personal information from various apps.
He also said that action will be taken against these apps. Commerce Secretary Ross also said that the decision to stop WeChat and TickTock was taken in the wake of Trump's announcement.
According to the application analyst firm Aptopia, the use of the app has already declined since the ban. Earlier, 19 million users used the app every day.
Many Wii chat users have opted for communication options in the app. Some are trying to communicate using Skype or LinkedIn. Again many have used VPN.
