Awami League is not a house of cards that will fall if tapped, commented Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader.
He was speaking via video conference from his official residence at the inaugural ceremony of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh-IDEB delegates' conference on Saturday (September 12th) morning. At that time, Obaidul Quader said, the source of the power of the Awami League is the people of the country, not the barrel of a gun. The roots of the Awami League are very deep. Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League have taken a place in the hearts of the people as a party of soil and people.
He added that the Awami League has been by the side of the people in every disaster and crisis of the country for the last 70 years. So those who think that the position of Awami League is like a house of cards, they are living in a fool's paradise.
Addressing the engineers, he said engineers should play a strong role in implementing the government's master plan to achieve the goals of a prosperous Bangladesh by 2041. You have to advance the development plan of the government with your own talent and labor as well as strive against any irregularities, corruption, and waste.
Obaidul Quader said that according to the experts, the second wave of corona may appear in Bangladesh in the coming winter. So from now on we have to be careful. Masks must be worn compulsorily.
