Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, commander of Iran's IRGC's naval branch, warned that if the enemy threatened Iran's interests, their teeth would be broken and their bodies would be sent out of the Strait of Hormuz in Iranian coffins.
This was stated by Commander Tangsiri in an interview with Iran's ISNA news agency. His interview was published today (Saturday). He advised the enemies not to threaten Iran's national interests.
"If Iran's interests are threatened, the enemy's teeth and hands will be broken, and this is not a slogan. We have proved it in the past," Tangsiri said. At the time, he was quoting an Iranian proverb: "It is wrong to re-examine things that have been tested."
Asked who would be ahead if a military confrontation between Iran and the United States broke out in the Persian Gulf, Admiral Tangsiri said, "Surely our homeland is in this area and US terrorists are present in the wrong places."
Admiral Tangsiri added, "We have never started a war and never will. But if they hurt our national interest, we will finally stand up.
