A special court of India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) has sentenced four JMB militants involved in the Khagragarh blast in the Burdwan district of West Bengal to seven years of rigorous imprisonment. The four convicted militants are Mohammad Younis, Matiur Rahman, Ziaul Haque and Zahirul Sheikh.

According to Indian media, Judge Prosenjit Biswas pronounced the sentence in a special NIA court in Kolkata on Tuesday. In addition to 7 years, rigorous imprisonment, a fine of Tk 5,000 and another 5 months imprisonment for non-payment have been ordered.

On October 2, 2014, two people, Shakil Ahmed and Shovon Mandal were killed in an explosion at a house in Khagragarh in Burdwan district of West Bengal. The investigation of the case goes from CID to NIA. They claimed that the JMB militant group was involved in the blast. A total of 31 people were arrested in the investigation of the case.
