Donald Trump has expressed doubts about whether Kamala Harris deserves the post of vice president.
U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed doubts about whether Kamala Harris is eligible to run for vice president of the Democratic Party in the US presidential election.
A report published in the American magazine Newsweek raised questions about Kamala's citizenship as her father is Jamaican and her mother is Indian. Kamala was born in 1964 in Oakland, California.
At a news conference Thursday, Trump said he would check to see if Kamala had all the qualifications needed to stand in the election. Trump also commented that a very highly qualified lawyer has provided this information.
Earlier, Trump also criticized former US President Barack Obama's citizenship.
