Ismail Haniya, the leader of the political wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, called the agreement to normalize relations between the United Arab Emirates and Zionist Israel a "knife of betrayal" for the Palestinian people.

Ismail Haniya made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Turkish-language television channel TRT. In the interview, he called on the UAE authorities to change their decision. Hania said the three illusions have inspired Arab leaders to have normal relations with Israel.

The first illusion is that they think the Muslims are a defeated nation and they see Israel as a victorious power. But the reality is that the Muslim nation cannot be defeated and the Palestinians will not stop their struggle until the occupied lands are reclaimed.

The Hamas leader said the second illusion was that some rulers knew that their political legitimacy had been achieved through foreign support without the support of their own people and that it was only possible to gain US support by establishing relations with Israel.

And the third Alif is imagining - many believe that Israel is trying for peace and coexistence but the reality is that Israel is the occupying power that has established barbarism and violence in the Middle East.

The Hamas leader praised countries that have rejected offers to normalize relations with Israel. Hania said that in order to fight against Tel Aviv, unity and solidarity must be strengthened between the Palestinian people and all political parties and organizations.
